CMPD activities in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Dartmouth College will be led by Prof. Barrett Rogers. Prof. Rogers is an expert on magnetic reconnection and on plasma dynamics in strongly sheared systems such as transport barriers -- two central focus areas of the CMPD. He will lead efforts to develop, verify and validate multiscale simulation algorithms to study these processes.
