Numerical simulations of suspensions and thixotropic fluids

Professor Claude Le Bris

CERMICS - ENPC

Abstract:  [Based on a series of ongoing works with S. Boyaval, E. Cances, I. Catto, Ph. Coussot, F. Lequeux.] We will present some recent works, and ongoing works, on the numerical simulation of suspensions (specifically, clays) and some thixotropic fluids. Welll address some mathematical questions originating from some multiscale models. We'll also present some numerical simulations, based on various alternative approaches, deterministic or stochastic in nature.
