Congratulations to Professor Jacob Bedrossian (CSCAMM/Mathematics) for winning the 2019 SIAG/APDE Prize with his coauthor N. Masmoudi (NYU) for their seminal article on “Inviscid Damping and the Asymptotic Stability of Planar Shear Flows in the 2D Euler Equations".

CSCAMM welcomes, as a new Brin postdoctoral fellow, Ruiwen Shu who graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Congratulations to Siming He who defended his PhD thesis on Mixing, Flocking and Cooperation: Analytical studies of Transport Phenomena in Biology and accepted a 3-year offer as a William W. Elliott Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Duke University.
CSCAMM welcomes, as a new postdoctoral fellow, Dong Dong who graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Congratulations to Professor Konstantina Trivisa for being selected for the Outstanding Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) Award for 2018.
CSCAMM welcomes Assistant Professor Lise-Marie Imbert-Gérard as a new CSCAMM faculty member with a joint appointment in the Department of Mathematics and IPST beginning in January 2018. Prof. Imbert-Gérard's research focuses on scientific computing and the numerical analysis of time-harmonic waves in variable media such as plasmas.
CSCAMM welcomes, as a new postdoctoral fellow, Jan Peszek, who comes to us from the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Congratulations to Dana-Adriana Botesteanu who defended her PhD thesis Mathematical Models for Ovarian Cancer.
